A Quick Beginnings of Astrology

The four societies who are credited with the origins of astrology are the Nile Valley in Egypt, the valley between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers in Sumer (Southern Mesopotamia) the Hwang Ho Valley in China, and the Indus Valley in India. With the first original system acknowledge to be Sumer in which the Babylonian Empire developed an extensive method of divination through their intellectual and scientific advances.

Each of these cultures started astrology in the Age of Taurus. Astrology was used for Agriculture, as season changes and meteorological conditions affected farming.

Early methods of Astrological recording were done with a Gnomon.
