What is the Ascendant, Descendant, Imum Coeli, and Midheaven

First: How to calculate Midheaven and Imum Coeli Ascendant [1st House Lord] To understand the Ascendant, lets start with an example, of Sun. The Sun is at a point on the day of your birth, this is called your "sun sign". Thinking of your birthday each year, you understand that the Sun returns back to your "birth sign" each year. This is what you are celebrating, the heightened "strength of the sun" within your body. The Sun takes 12 months to go around all the signs and return back to where it is "native" for you. The sun creates your Birth Sign, and also creates your Ascendant. The Sun creates your sign based on "day" of the year. The Sun creates your Ascendant based on "hour" of the day of your birth. Every 2.5 hours, the Sun's "light" hits a different constellation...

Planets [Quick Images]

Each planet is pieces of string within you that vibrates [string theory]. So each planet uses its pieces of string differently. And then wherever it [planet] is placed [sign and house] determines what is traveling inside the strings. But so the strings on the outside always perform a duty, the internals determines the style of duty [such as, school or work being the string, the internals would the subject or profession]. -- [From bottom (literally your bottom) to top (the brain)]. Saturn Saturn "boxes" the string. Makes it stable, the string is a string. Basic and useful. The string moves every slowly to become reality. Jupiter Jupiter "expands" the string. Imagine the bottom of this image, as sitting on top of the cube from above, this is what you can imagine the expandi...

Who you are being: Natal Horoscopes (Jataka), which are the charts you receive at birth. This include your first one (that is most likely the only one you have ever seen if you are Western... but there about 30 more :P). Your divisional charts (these are the +30 more for every section of life. Kapiel (the video master) describes it as the opening of each house and looking inside to delve into it deeper. Like a surgeon looking at the outside of your body, and then looking into it to further perceive your specific kind of greatness ;-)). And your dasha and mahadasha cycles (your life cycles). What will happen then: Horary (Prashna), an individual chart, in which you ask a specific question and get a bunch of charts to provide the most accurate answer. Like whether to do something is a goo...

Why Do You Like Astrology?

Many people in the West, look to astrology for personal psychology. Reasons to longings, needs, fears, angers, hopes and dreams. That “with a thorough understanding of ourselves, one can make the most of the cards they are dealt.” Many people in the East, look to astrology for finances, education, profession, marriage, children and health. For finding out events and fulfilling dharma. It is best hypothesised that you look to both in astrology. Why not right? If you can have both ;), use all of yourself!

Specific Maths System Used (Ayanamsa)

There are different variations within Tropical and Sidereal Astrology to determine what specific variation of calculations are used. To break it down, Tropical and Sidereal are two different maths systems. Totally different. And then within them, you have mini slight variations based on its calculation. An Ayanamsa is the calculation of these slight variations within its chosen system. This is to do with a mathematic variation on where it is believed the exact star points within the constellation are located. This is especially important if you have something within 29-1 degree in which the slight variation can change your sign! :D So I feel Krishnamurti is most accurate from my testings. I note this through some systems moving my Mercury which is at 1 degree and my Ketu moving in and ou...

Meanings: Lords

Lords = Derivatives. Leo derives its power from its Lord, Sun. Cancer derives its power from its Lord, Moon. Gemini and Virgo derive their power from their Lord, Mercury. Taurus and Libra derive their power from their Lord, Venus. Aries and Scorpio derive their power from their Lord, Mars. Sagittarius and Pisces derive their power from their Lord, Jupiter. Capricorn and Aquarius derive their power from their Lord, Saturn. So looking for the House Lords involves looking for the planet that rules over that house. Example: Aries Ascendant with Mars in 11th House So the Ascendant/1st House is ruled by Aries, so if u look above to Aries, his derivative Lord is Mars. So the 1st Lord is Mars. So then you look for Mars, who in this example you find in the 11th House. So the 1st Lord i...

Meaning: Houses

(Section is only supplied if birth date is provided) The middle numbers in the circle on your birth chart are called houses. Signs will be located in different houses depending on your birth time. It is calculated from what sign was “rising” in the east at the time you were born – “ascending on the eastern horizon”. It is important because it explains what the planet and sign are concerned with in your life. Such as: The planet Jupiter1 could be in Taurus2 in your 1st House3. This translates to meaning that you have Wisdom1 when it comes to your stubborn nature2 for your personality and appearance3. Without the house you wouldn’t know Jupiter’s focus area. If it were Jupiter1 in Taurus2 in your 2nd House3. That would imply that your stubborn2 wisdom1 was more concerned with your ...
